Feeling the slight touch of melancholy in life, though all is fine. Money - or more truthfully the lack of it - is troubling me. I just have to seduce some old queer count or something. Or start selling myself more effectively. Everything hopefully falls into it's place, and there'll be a day when I don't have to beg for money from my parents anymore.

Kärnä was fine, I'm not manic, depressive, paranoid or obsessive-compulsive, generally just fine. Then I filled some forms with yeas/no options (SCID-II) and called that a day.

Purchased a Christmas present for myself, a photo by a student from Torkkeli. Very beautiful b&w image, some Sally Mann feeling in it. I'll just have to get it framed and pack it up. Rest of the day was spent with bicycle repair and photos.

I was almost napping in front of my computer while a scrolled through the images. Moar sleep plz.

Syytän jälleen itsestäni riippumattomia asioita kuvien myöhästymisestä. Viimeistelimme pakkauslaatikoita ja oli muutenkin hiukka hektistä ennen lauantaita, la-aamuna polkaisimme faijani kyydillä Tampereelle jättämään ensimmäisen erän hiuskoristeitani myyntiin Vaudeville boutiqueen. Kävimme vegevohveleilla, Pappa lähti ja jäimme hengaamaan Tampereelle illan burleskipikkujouluja odotellen. Dr. Sketch ensin, sen jälkeen ohjelmanumerot. Joulukuvaelma pyyhki aivoistani pois kaikki ala-asteen joulukirkkojen jättämät traumat, Tease Queens oli upea ryhmä. Kokonaisuutena varsin hulvaton show. Loppuilta twistiä. Aamujunalla klo. 4.40 Helsinkiin. Nyt olisi lomalle jäävä fiilis, mutta huomenna tapaan Kärnän aamulla, teen verkkoon tulevan kuvitusnakin illalla ja osallistun loppuviikon hillittömästi ergonomiaan ja liiketoiminnan perusteisiin. Lisäksi pyörän kumi pitäisi korjata, kirjoittaa essee johtamisesta, rendata päheitä kuvia valaisimesta sekä nettisivut koostaa ja pystyttää verkon saapuessa loppuviikosta. Miettiä pikkujouluja, keittää parsakaalia ja marinoida tofua, selvittää noin tuhat kuvaa ja postprosessoida niistä parhaat. Taidan huomenna tehdä listoja ja alkaa raivaukset. Onneksi eilinen oli niin ajaton.

Been printing, photoshooting, tomorrow morning I'll sink my hands in glue again. Who says we're late? There's still hours left, and graphics turned out very fine.
Being gayerotic again, but what else could I do?
Oh and damn I so want sequin leggins to compose a glimmery low-crotch shorts over leggins-look.

Got to see Picasso exhibition at the Ateneum Art Museum fo free. I was sorta going to ignore the exhibition, but how could one resist free entrance? Some very beautiful graphics, interesting sculptures. The building is gorgeous, I set a personal goal that I will someday photograph a fashion/style shoot there. One day. Just watch me.

Hopefully getting wired up today, spend my money on uhu-gluestick, ribbons and parisian paper. Time runs past. Got to be going.

Oh shit, yesterday fucksored picturewise. Blame it on the fact that I forgot my camera's usb at my folks, and was working anygays. Well, more piccies today then.

I'm like so not going to school this week. Tomorrow I'll go and see Picasso for free in the afternoon, running away from class after lunch, and then work like an animal all the evening. Wednesday we go to the center with our ergonomics group to check on our project at Stockholm's street branch of Metropolia, and then I'll fade home from there. Thursday is free, we ought to go to listen some Metropolis-thing in the afternoon, but fuck that. There's boxes to make. Friday, would be business, but I'm having a photoshoot, so see ya next week. I think I'll have to return one essay on Wednesday if we use computers at the center, so I'll spend this night doing it. Saturday will be nice, burlesque-events, Dr. Sketchy, waffle-cafe, Tampere in general. Sunday is for recovery, following Monday for Teemy Kärnä and illustration (got an extra job, web illustration, wee). Life is full, but I love it.

Firts public appereance ever. The photo sucked, could have taken better one myself, illustration was printed bigger than I thought it would come out, great for the details.

I'm slacking off again at my folks! Even though I have thousand things to do! Why oh why? Am I just protecting my mental health, escaping the work ahead or simply using the Internet I can't connect to from my dwelling place? My apartment is sort of a workroom for me, I rarely relax there. It's for tinkering, touching up and reading. Studio would be so nice.

This bleakness and toned down palette of colours suits me well. I'd like to make a hairpiece with these colours, spatter it with buttons of different shades of grey, faded old metal washers and matt glass pearls.

Approaching holidays are give inspirations too, I just finished a piece with lots of gold, red and white. I wonder if there's anyone who dares to wear it really.
Spontaneous photography is like a deep breath now, rare and refreshing.

when I ride my bike to school my head fills up with perfect sentences, words that flow from all around me, from me and from the stories that fill up the horizon. When I stop, they disappear, and much silence and darkness in solitude is needed to make them appear again. Having hard time learning new stuff, finishing to do-lists.

Got off early. There's plenty of work to do, but somehow the end of the week feels like a rest after the filled up start.
Gluing boxes, designing graphics, making them accessories. Reading books on portrait photography and history of homosexuality. It's odd how the dykes seem to find it hard to recognize the existence of transmen. Like, Billy Tipton was a les?

Watched The Double Life of Véronique yeasterday, definitely have to watch it again few times to dwell on the nuances and details. Love it how Kieślowski tells capturing stories with beautiful pictures; pure pleasure. The reflections, colours, light. Beautiful. The marionettes were amazing.

Had a dream where everything was quite dark again, there was to be a trip to a lighthouse, I kept on asking what particular lighthouse, but no one answered. Snow, dim roads, distant haloes.

Today we made an excursion to a showroom of ergonomic appliences, and there was a poster of Finnish lighthouses on the wall.

It's dark at three.
Have to buy some tape. Tomorrow back to photography again.

Saavuin asunnollleni myöhään lauantai-iltapäivällä yön tanssin ja lyhyen hyvän aamun jälkeen. Kiersin päivällä puolen hinnan kirpputorit ja ostin taftinauhaa. Kannoin kotiin tinkeröitäviä muotoon käveltyjä kenkiä, silkkihuiveja, kultasävyisiä kelloja ja rihkamakoruja. Lähtö oli hädin tuskin tunnin päässä, junalla Lahteen. Kävellen Kouvolaan vievän tien viertä niukan ohjeistuksen mukaan; eksyin oikeille kaduille ja löysin osoitetun paikan. Hyvä nähdä ihmisiä; nauraa, olla vaan.
Cyberpunk-teema antaa minulle epäloogisesti anteeksi myöhän sijoittuessaan tulevaan ja ollen näin saavuttamattomissa.
Möysän Esso on koettu. Junan ikkunan lasi täplittää bokehit yökönsiipisiksi.
Yöllä kotiin hiljaisessa vaunussa Middlesex-niteen alkuperäisversiota lueskellen.

Ergonomiaa koulussa, autourheiluun liittyvä projektityö ei niitä mielekkäämpiä. Tarvikkeita, denimiä. Leviksen tuotteita puolilla euroilla Kierrätyskeskuksesta, styroxia ja paperimassaa. Taftinauhaa ei ole Hobby Pointissa, lounaaksi pähkinöitä, hampaita vihlovan makeita taateleita ja omenoita. Kotimatkalla haen tofua Asian Trading-liikkeestä ja suren varattomuuttani yrttihyllyjen luona. Myös durangia kaupan, mutta tätä kummallisuutta pitäisi maistaa kasvupaikan välittömässä lähietäisyydessä eikä parintuhannen kilometrin päässä siitä.
Kotiin saavuttuani huomaan kaiken toimintakykyni - living etc lehden selailua lukuun ottamatta - kadonneen helvetinmoisen päänsäryn alta. Tähän johtavat viiden tunnin photoshoppaajan yöunet ja surkea työergonomian taso!

Ilta kului Q:n seurassa Brokeback Mountania katsellen. Kestääköhän kunto huomenna kouluun kierimisen?

Hämmentävästi olen istunut perseelläni jo kello puoli viidestä alkaen ja tehnyt kuuliaisesti opintoihin liittyviä tehtäviä; ergonomian powerpoint-rykäisyjä, ekologisen muotoilun elinkaaria ja ekotallaaja-reportaaseja. Vielä olisi liiketalouden perusteiden essee aiheeltaan "Yrittäjyys ja minä", jonka saatan hyvinkin yskiä ruudulle ja olla valmis näiden hommien kanssa! Ja aamulla kuudelta ylös ompelemaan.

Pari päivää ilman musiikillista melodista annosta; Kent soittaa aivoni utuiseen euforiaan, ette uskoisi että tähän voi tanssia.
Kaipaan tanssia edelleen, eli en saanut annostani täyteen lauantaina. I need my fix! Uudestaan ehkä uutena vuotena, tai joulukuussa. Viikonloput on tässä kuussa pyhitetty valokuvaukselle ja onnelliselle työnteolle (lisää aiheesta myöhemmin tällä viikolla).
